A New Road Ahead

There were many times during the past few years that I’ve contemplated and did shortly retire from the wedding industry. But the opportunities of traveling to different places to shoot these weddings and getting to meet new people has always been one of the most exciting parts of being on this adventure. I’ve been shooting weddings for the past 12 years now and because of that, I’ve neglected the side of me that wants to paint, sculpt and draw.The very notion of painting on a large white canvas is what excites my soul. Instead of completely retiring from the industry all together, I will be accepting less weddings. My current package pricing will be effective until June 3, 2013. After that, my cinema package will begin at $6,500 and my photography package will begin at $4,500.

I’ve always been a painter and sculptor and I can’t wait to start sharing with you all more of that side of me on this blog!

I was recently contacted by a local league who wants to outfit the teams with some custom catcher’s helmets. I accepted the challenge. Here they are! My favorite and the one that took the longest is the dragon faced catcher’s helmet. Which one’s your favorite?

Happy Mother’s Day!

I received an email a few weeks ago from one of my good friends and former bride, Kim. She wanted to have a special gift made for her dear friend, Sandy who can’t be with her family on Mother’s Day because she’s currently finishing up med school in the east coast. So I immediately said yes to the project and came up with a unique way to showcase the photos which I also recently shot for them. Originally, Kim requested that I lay out  a photo book for Sandy but being the crafty kid that I am, I wanted this project to be unique and different. So I created a storage box for her photos that looks like a scrapbook. It can be used as storage for her 20 double sided photos that I mounted on foam core. Or she can choose to display those photos on her shelves and use the storage box for her other photos. Here are the pics. Enjoy!

I had such a wonderful time capturing Raul, Tara and Ashlyn’s family portrait session the other day at Springs Preserve in Las Vegas, NV. Ashlyn is two years old and loves choo choo trains, bunnies and pretend goggles! It was hard to say goodbye to this little girl. She melts my heart
