Teaching Art

It’s always an amazing feeling when you teach art to kids who are eager and willing to learn. I started of by showing them the basics of drawing, shading and blending. In the end, they were able to create a beautiful black and white portrait. At first they didn’t have a clue as to what they’re drawing since I only gave them a small piece of the portrait. Each person was in charge to replicate that each little square that they pulled out of a cup. But the looks on their faces when they finally saw the completed artwork together is priceless. It was an awesome day overall. Can you recognize who the person is? If you answered Angelina Jolie, you’re right! Not bad for my first time teaching a large group with limited art skills, right? 🙂
